Important Message from Delbert and Sheryl below:

Health Report update on Delbert, for those of you who do not know, I woke up 3 weeks ago (on a Friday) and could not remember anything or anyone.  I was also seeing double.  I ended going to the ER and spent 4 days in the hospital.  For 3 days, while in the hospital, I struggled with memory loss and couldn’t follow simple commands.  The first thought was a stroke, but after lots of testing a stroke didn’t show up and we are still doing tests to find out what might have caused this.  This was a very scary time for my family and I.  The good news in all this is that I have recovered from my memory loss and I am home and working on my path to recovery.  Because of this scare I have decided it is time to start getting serious about downsizing my collection.  In 48 years of auctioneering, I have accumulated a large collection of Fenton Glassware, Marbles, Antiques, Coins, Turquoise, Hollywood and Costume Jewelry, Sterling Diamond and Gold Jewelry, Guns, Knives, you name it and I probably have it.  The largest auction I have had took 13 full days to sell, mine will take more.  Sheryl and I welcome inquiries on part of all of this collection.  Dealers and collectors are welcome to contact us to purchase items in volume.

We would like to invite you to an auction by Brian Clapp, who will be selling a collection for Sheryl and I on March the 5th at the Red Dirt Auction Company in Miami, Oklahoma.  Bob Laswell, will also be having an auction at the Neosho Fairground on March 18th.

I plan to continue auctioning as long as I can with my partners Jack Garner and Mike Torchia.  Auctioneering has been the second biggest love of my life.  We have had a sugar auction career and hope to continue in the future.  See my website (delbertrowden.com) of the above auctions on March 5th and 18th.  We have been blessed to have been in the best years of auctions and had the best auction partners, customers and workers.  We are in the process of fixing up our 17th Cargo Trailer for the purpose of selling quality items such as jewelry, etc. out of.  We will be setting up at the auction sites if large enough.

We will be slowing down with some of our other businesses.  Rowdy’s Rustic Moose Lodge, The Scammon Kansas Lodge, the 2-acre Pumpkin Patch in Scammon, KS, Big D’s Emporium (aka Big D’s Auctioneering Center), other rentals and real estate on the market to sell.  If you are interested in any of the above, please get in touch with us.  Delbert Rowden 620-762-2416 or Sheryl Rowden at 417-674-23416.

In ending we have had a lot of great memories over the last 48 years of auctioneering and serving our community and it is our hope to have many more.  Thank you, Delbert and Sheryl Rowden.
